James Brown had the Apollo. Jimi Hendrix had Monterey Pop. And Prince had Syracuse, New York's Carrier Dome-the March 30, 1985 Purple Rain Tour stop that was beamed to millions live via satellite and captured for posterity in the Grammy Award-nominated concert film Prince and The Revolution: Live, and which has since gone down in history as one of the most iconic live recordings in pop and rock history.<br/><br/>For the first time, this powerful performance by Prince and The Revolution has been remixed from the original 2" multitrack master reels and the film has been digitally enhanced onto Blu-ray video with selectable stereo, 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos sound. Prince's late-career and Grammy-nominated recording engineer, Chris James, remixed the recently discovered source audio, which had remained archived in Prince's legendary Paisley Park vault for over three decades. The new release of Prince and The Revolution: Live marks the first time that the concert will be available on CD (as a 2-CD/Blu-ray set).

2004 firade Stones sitt 40-årsjubileum och i New York lirade de på anrika Madison Square Garden. Denna konsert som tidigare släppts på HBO och varit en del av "Four Flicks", en konsertsamling enbart släppt i USA av Best Buy, släpps nu äntligen som en fristående produkt.<br/>Vi får avnjuta ett taggat Rolling Stones som framför "Angie", It's Only Rock N' Roll (But I Like It)", "Start Me Up", "Brown Sugar", "Sympathy For The Devil", "Satisfaction" o.s.v. Bandet gästas av Sheryl Crow på "Honky Tonk Woman".<br/><br/>Fyra av låtarna på denna konsert har aldrig tidigare släppts. Bluray inkluderar också bonus låtar inspelade i Amsterdam, bandets repetitioner inför turnén och en 51 min lång dokumentär. Yep, we kept him busy, for sure, and now, at last we have Adrian on "The Deeper The Love" and "Judgement Day," which is a joy for me, as you can imagine ... <br/><br/>We also dug deep in some of the 24-track tapes and found more of John Sykes' guitars on "Give Me All Your Love" rhythm tracks ... and a new solo on "Slide It In," for Gawd Sake! <br/><br/>On a lot of the 'epics,' we revisited the strings to make them even more orchestral ... A true labour of love, for sure. <br/><br/>We've definitely expanded on the original Greatest Hits, took them all out of the sonic time capsule of the '80s and '90s, and brought them up to date, sound-wise ... as always, we have the original albums for those who consider them holy relics ... those were simply remastered by Scott Hull in NYC...
