On one side, images capture what ails us - a crushing boot, a wounded man, a child staring blankly at a screen. On the other side, joyous family pictures cluster. In the center, there's a photograph of the cover of "We," the 1921 sci-fi novel by Yevgeny Zamyatin, showing a crystalline skyscraper in which the citizens of a dystopia live under constant surveillance.<br/><br/>With an album already written, Arcade Fire started recording in February, 2020, but were interrupted by the start of the pandemic. Win & Régine spent the rest of that year and most of the next writing even more songs. "It was the longest we've ever spent writing, uninterrupted, probably ever" Butler said. Still, the resulting album - produced by Nigel Godrich, Win & Régine - is a concise 40 minutes long. Its first side, "I," is about our troubles; its second side, "WE," is about our love for one another.

Nu släpps albumet HOME.S. - en improvisatorisk dröm, signerad en av Sveriges största jazzartister.<br/><br/>The release of HOME.S., the only existing, previously unreleased solo album by pianist Esbjörn Svensson, is nothing less than a sensation. The recordings were made in Svensson's Swedish home - just weeks before his tragic death on June 14, 2008, after which they rested undiscovered on a hard drive in his wife Eva Svensson's personal archive for nearly ten years. HOME.S. consists of nine piano songs, with a combination of written-out fragments and Svensson's unique, melodic style of improvisation. Heartfelt, soulful and deeply personal. P g a pandemin har det gått två somrar utan en ny LS-platta, så förväntningarna är självklart på topp. <br/>Vi försöker därför göra den så fullmatad som möjligt med 14 låtar + 2 N!NE-remixer. Förutom EPA-succén med "Är det kärlek du behöver" har vi gjort en röjig remix av LS-klassikerna "Peppelinos bar". "Evergreen" är producerad av Martin Klaman och inspelad under olika perioder de senaste åren. <br/><br/>"Trots att inspelningen den här gången har dragit ut på tiden så har jag nog aldrig varit lika nöjd med slutresultatet" säger Olle Jönsson efter sjungit in de sista raderna för den här gången.

Neil Young's fourth solo album remains one of the most beloved in his catalog and is dense with songs that have long-permeated radio waves. The 50th Anniversary Edition Box Sets boasting the original album, three studio outtakes, an unreleased live 1971 BBC solo performance. <br/><br/>The film Harvest Time is a previously unseen 2-hour documentary filmed in 1971, documenting the Harvest sessions. Also included in the package is a hardbound book and fold-out poster. <br/><br/>Fans of the record will receive a new glimpse into Harvest through the two DVDs included in the box set. The first is Harvest Time, an unreleased two-hour film shot during the making of Harvest, with footage from Young's 'Harvest Barn' sessions in Northern California, recording sessions in Nashville and London. The second is a film of the unreleased solo BBC Concert recorded on February 23, 1971. Also included are three outtakes tracks from the original Harvest sessions: "Bad Fog of Loneliness," "Journey Through The Past," and "Dance Dance Dance." Additionally, the hardbound book will include never-before-seen photos along with extensive liner notes by photographer Joel Bernstein.

3 bonus tracks.<br/><br/>Som titeln antyder är nya plattan en hyllning till läromästaren och vännen Jerry Jeff Walker, som dog hösten 2020, 78 år gammal. <br/><br/>Med "Jerry Jeff" kompletterar Steve Earle den serie hyllningsplattor som inleddes med 2009 års "Townes" (Townes van Zandt), fortsatte med 2029 års "Guy" (Guy Clark) och som nu avslutas med "Jerry Jeff".<br/><br/>2021 gav Steve Earle dessutom ut "J.T.", en fin men smärtsam hyllningen till sonen Justin Townes Earle, som dog 2020, endast 38 år.<br/><br/>"The records were recorded and released in the order in which they left this world. But make no mistake - it was Jerry Jeff Walker who came first," says Earle.<br/> <br/>Earle was 14 when he first heard Walker. His high school drama teacher gave him a copy of "Mr. Bojangles," Walker's classic ballad about an unforgettable character he met in a New Orleans jail. After Earle moved to Nashville in the 1970s, he had the opportunity to get to know Walker, who enlisted him as his designated driver.<br/>"There's a tendency to think of Jerry Jeff around a relationship to one song," Earle says, referring to "Mr. Bojangles," which was covered by everyone from Bob Dylan to Sammy Davis Jr. "He was also such a great interpreter of other people's songs. But my main purpose in recording this album was to remind people that he wrote a lot of fucking great songs."
