Each LP has his own unique sticker. This is a limited edition release in 180 Gr. yellow colored vinyl. Chet Baker was a primary exponent of Jazz in the early and mid-'50's. Georg Riedel är en sann legendar inom svenskt musikliv, som under de sju decennier han har varit aktiv har skrivit musik till många av Astrid Lindgrens filmer, spelat bas på odödliga inspelningar med Jan Johansson, stått på scen tillsammans med jazzgiganter som Lars<br/>Gullin, Arne Domnerus och Gunnar Svensson. Nu har han, vid 84 års ålder, skrivit ihop ett album med helt ny musik, dragit ihop ett fantastiskt band, arrangerat och lett orkestern vid inspelningen. Han har suttit vid sitt piano och komponerat utan att svettas; ingen stress, inga prestationskrav, ingen anpassning till marknaden, ingen sångtextförfattare att underkasta sig, ingen beställare att<br/>tillfredsställa. Han har helt enkelt gjort det han själv tycker om, driven av ren lust. När låtarna blivit många nog, satte Georg Riedel ihop en grupp som kunde spela dem: fem erfarna jazzmusiker, några generationer yngre än hans egen.

Ben Webster was considered one of the 'big three' of swing tenors along with Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young. 'Blue Saxophones' is a studio album recorded in 1957 by Coleman Hawkins and Ben Webster. Accompanied by a rhythm section with Herb Ellis guitar, Alvin Stoller drums and Ray Brown on double bass led by Oscar Peterson. They just blend together beautifully, and with the great Oscar Peterson on piano, the approach is always very tasteful. This encounter shows the two veterans at the peaks of their powers. Most of the album is a relaxed meeting of old friends, though. Coleman and Webster duet beautifully on the heads of "La Rosita" and "It Never Entered My Mind".
