Rosanna Arquette stars in this Mike Hodges thriller. Martha Travis (Arquette) travels around the American South conning the locals into thinking she is clairvoyant. However, one night she really does receive a message from beyond; from the husband of a woman sitting in the audience who then proclaims that her husband is very much alive and kicking.<br/><br/>Several hours later, however, the man is very much dead. Martha soon finds that her newfound talent leads her into dangerous territory when a contract killer is onto her... and she finds it hard to convince those around her.
