American romantic comedy in which two people decide to challenge their views on romantic relationships by setting up a competition. When Calvin (Chris Klein) meets Lauren (Thora Birch) he soon learns that she has been applying a theory to all of her romantic relationships which means that she ends all of their relationships after six months to avoid being hurt by infidelity.
