But there is a shady character behind this competition, an ex-military commander in fact, whose plan is to lure all the pirates drawn by the competition into military waters and destroy them. In 'The Cursed Holy Sword' (2004) the crew explore an island for a legendary sword of extreme value, but before they can make off with the loot there are marines, distractions and even betrayal to contend with. In 'Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island' (2005) the Straw Hats travel to a recreational island for some relaxation. When they discover that the boy is the son of the shop's owner Tampopo (Nobuko Miyamoto), they also learn that her business is struggling and try to think of ways to help her out.
