But, after liberating five female captives from Joe's clutches, she too must escape from the gang leader and his henchmen. Finally, the prequel 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga' (2024), set almost two decades prior to the events of 'Mad Max: Fury Road' (2015), follows Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) as a young girl living in the abundant Green Place of Many Mothers. Despite her mother's desperate attempts to save her, Furiosa is abducted by a group of raiders when they infiltrate the Green Place.
