However, the helicopter taking Whitlock to surgery crashes into the research centre and disables the protective security systems which keep the killer sharks at bay... In 'Deep Blue Sea 2' (2018) shark conservationist Dr Misty Calhoun (Danielle Savre) is invited to see the work of billionaire Carl Durant (Michael Beach) and is horrified to learn he has been genetically altering bull sharks to enhance their learning capabilities. It's not long before the sharks begin to fight back against their captors, causing havoc and flooding the research facility. Will anyone make it out alive? Finally, in 'Deep Blue Sea 3' (2020) marine biologist Dr Emma Collins (Tania Raymonde) and her team are spending the summer in the abandoned fishing village of Little Happy in the Mozambique Channel, studying the effects of climate change on the great white sharks which return every year to the island. While he attempts to solve a murder case on behalf of Detective Patrick Mulligan (Stephen Graham), Cletus becomes the new host of symbiote Carnage and breaks out of prison to reunite with his former girlfriend Frances Barrison (Naomie Harris). Finally, in 'Venom: The Last Dance' (2024), Eddie and Venom are forced to go on the run when they are hunted by forces from both of their worlds. Knull (Andy Serkis), the creator of the symbiotes, has sent a Xenophage after them, believing they hold the key to freeing him from his imprisonment.
