Burt Reynolds directs and stars in this American comedy sequel which follows on from the events of 'White Lightning' (1973). Con artist Gator McKlusky (Reynolds) has just been released from jail when he is recruited by federal agent Irving Greenfield (Jack Weston) to go undercover and feed back intel about his old accomplice, Bama McCall (Jerry Reed), who is now a crime boss.
