<p>In 1978, Astrid Lindgren was awarded the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade. She turned her acceptance speech into a fiery and compelling appeal to put an end to violence and tyranny, especially the violence that begins in the home and that affects children above all else. </p><p>This is a new edition of the speech, richly illustrated by Stina Wirsén, with a preface by Marta Santos Pais, Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children, UN and an afterword by Thomas Hammarberg, Human Rights Adviser and Member of the first UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.</p>

Demographic change is a defining issue of our time. As the worldwide population ages, the healthcare systems of every country will meet challenges of scale in providing for their elderly. <em>Aging with Dignity: Innovation and Challenge in Sweden: The Voice of Elder Care Professionals </em>is a study in the future of elder care through the lens of the Swedish healthcare system.<br/><br/>Over the past year, ACCESS Health has conducted extensive interviews with more than thirty elder care professionals in Sweden. <em>Aging with Dignity </em>collects these in depth interviews alongside summary chapters and analysis.<br/><br/>If a small, wealthy nation like Sweden, with well developed healthcare and social welfare systems, encounters difficulties adapting to demographic change, so too will other nations. By examining Sweden s healthcare coordination, homecare technology, dementia care, and eHealthcare initiatives, <em>Aging with Dignity</em> makes the case for best practices.
