"Vertigo" is a 1958 American film noir psychological Thriller film directed and produced by *Alfred Hitchcock.* The story was based on the 1954 novel D'entre les morts (From Among the Dead) by Boileau-Narcejac. On this LP you will find the music of the original soundtrack by Bernard Herrmann, orchestra directed by Muir Mathieson, along with some bonus tracks culled from other *Alfred Hitchcock* films and even from the television series.

'The Soul Stirrers' were an American gospel music group founded in 1926. In 1950 Sam Cooke replaced R.H. Harris as lead singer. Their first recording under Sam Cooke's leadership was the song "Jesus Gave Me Water" in 1951. They also recorded the gospel songs "Peace In The Valley", "How Far Am I From Canaan?", "Jesus Paid The Debt" and "One More River", among many others. 'The Soul Stirrers' and all of its members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 as one of rock's early influences, and into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2000. Cooke was the inspiration for nearly every soul singer you will ever hear. On December 11, 1964, at the age of 33, Sam Cooke was shot and killed.<br/><br/>HIGH QUALITY

From the very early "Love Me Tender" to the 'Kid Galahad' movie ballad "Home Is Where The Heart Is", this whole collection just shines. No one could sing a romantic song as 'The King. There are some rarer songs here that are really great like "Doin' The Best I Can", "Young And Beautiful" and of course the Top Ten hits "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You," "Love Me," "Don't," and "Can't Help Falling in Love," as well as such Presley standards as "Are You Lonesome Tonight?." 'The King' is dead but 'The King' lives on forever!
