Under de åtta år som gått<br/>sedan Amyl and The Sniffers kom samman i Melbournes klibbiga pubrockscen har Amyl and the Sniffers blivit mästare på att balansera kraft och lekfullhet. Med två kritikerrosade album under bältet - 2019 års självbetitlade debut och 2021 års viscerala "Comfort To Me" - har bandet uppnått något unikt och anmärkningsvärt. <br/><br/>Bandets frontkvinna Amy Taylor berättar om albumet:"Cartoon Darkness is about climate crisis, war, AI, tiptoeing on the eggshells of politics, and people feeling like they're helping by having a voice online when we're all just feeding the data beast of Big Tech, our modern-day god. It's about the fact that our generation is spoon-fed information. We look like adults, but we're children forever cocooned in a shell. We're all passively gulping up distractions that don't even<br/>cause pleasure, sensation or joy, they just cause numbness."

Amyl and the Sniffers släpper albumet "Comfort To Me" som de började spela in i slutet av 2020 tillsammans med producenten Dan Luscombe. Albumet har sedan kommit till under ett år av lockdown och har influerats av "old-school"-rock'n'roll som AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, Motörhead och Wendy O Williams, lite mer moderna Warthog och Power Trip samt deras ständiga hjältar Cosmic Psychos. Plattan har mastrats av Bernie Grundman (Michael Jackson, Prince, Dr Dre).

Det australiensiska rockbandet Amyl And The Sniffers med sitt självbetitlade debutalbum. Bandet består av medlemmarna Amy Taylor (sång), Gus Romer (bass) Bryce Wilson (trummor) och Declan Martens (gitarr). De bildades i Melbourne i början av 2016 och skrev, spelade in och släppte själva sin debut-EP Giddy Up på endast 12 timmar. Det produktiva bandet har även gjort sig kända för sina liveshower och imponerade senast på ett fullsatt Bar Brooklyn i Stockholm hösten 2018.
