Jimmy LaValle, kanske mest känd för sin medverkan i kontemporära drömrock-akten Tristeza och San Diegos The Black Heart Procession började ge ut finstämda, progressiva instrumentala alster som The Album Leaf 1999. Detta är den sjätte plattan och fokus har legat på att jobba fram låtar och arrangemang som en grupp istället för att bara (som tidigare) vara LaValle-alster. Låtarna är delikat sköra och balanserar mästerligt mellan minimal electronica och neo-instrumental rock.
