Known for their mind-bending neo-psychedelic grooves and hazily anthemic hooks, Darker My Love released three albums on Dangerbird, culminating in the deeply personal Alive As You Are.

Sea Wolf: White Water White Bloom (White) [CD]

Alex Brown Church debuted Sea Wolf with the beguiling EP Get To The River Before It Runs Too Low, led by the single “You’re A Wolf,” a now-timeless classic of ‘00s indie. Sea Wolf’s body of work continues to comfort and inspire with lush arrangements examining human complexity with inviting warmth. 2007’s Leaves in the River was followed by White Water, White Bloom in 2009 as well as an appearance on the generation-defining New Moon soundtrack during peak Twilight which broadened an already devoted following. After Old World Romance with its indelible single “Old Friend” in 2012, Sea Wolf took to self-releasing music before taking an extended break. We were thrilled to partner again when he returned with Through A Dark Wood in 2020. Released in a confusing time, the album is a gorgeous catalog of Brown-Church’s gifts as a writer and vocalist and the dynamic, filmic drama of his recordings.

Fitz and The Tantrums are a neo-soul group from Los Angeles formed in 2008 by Michael Fitzpatrick after acquiring a vintage electric organ and unexpectedly writing a slew of spontaneous yet inspired songs with the keyboard. Fitzpatrick contacted his college friend and saxophone player James King about joining the band and the full roster was pieced together shortly thereafter. Over the years Fitz and The Tantrums have developed and continually refined a unique sound blending contemporary pop production aesthetics with the songwriting sensibilities of classic soul and R&B music.
