On one side, images capture what ails us - a crushing boot, a wounded man, a child staring blankly at a screen. On the other side, joyous family pictures cluster. In the center, there's a photograph of the cover of "We," the 1921 sci-fi novel by Yevgeny Zamyatin, showing a crystalline skyscraper in which the citizens of a dystopia live under constant surveillance.<br/><br/>With an album already written, Arcade Fire started recording in February, 2020, but were interrupted by the start of the pandemic. Win & Régine spent the rest of that year and most of the next writing even more songs. "It was the longest we've ever spent writing, uninterrupted, probably ever" Butler said. Still, the resulting album - produced by Nigel Godrich, Win & Régine - is a concise 40 minutes long. Its first side, "I," is about our troubles; its second side, "WE," is about our love for one another.

Against the backdrop of a vibrant music scene and tumultuous cultural upheaval, an enigmatic 19-year-old from Minnesota arrives in the West Village with his guitar and revolutionary talent, destined to change the course of American music. As he forms his most intimate relationships during his rise to fame, he grows restless with the folk movement and, refusing to be defined, makes a controversial choice that culturally reverberates worldwide. Timothée Chalamet stars and sings as Bob Dylan in James Mangold's A COMPLETE UNKNOWN, the electric true story behind the rise of one of the most iconic singer-songwriters in history.

The album by David Gilmour, 'Luck and Strange' was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and is Gilmour's first album of new material in nine years. The record was produced by David and Charlie Andrew, best known for his work with ALT-J and Marika Hackman, with lyrics mostly written by Polly Samson, Gilmour's co-writer for the past thirty years. The album features eight new tracks along with a beautiful reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers' 'Between Two Points', which sees Romany Gilmour, who performs backing vocals across the album, and can also be heard on harp.<br/><br/>Musicians contributing to the record include Guy Pratt & Tom Herbert on bass, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao on drums, Rob Gentry & Roger Eno on keyboards and the string and choral arrangements are by Will Gardner. The title track also features the late Pink Floyd keyboard player Richard Wright, recorded in 2007 during a 'Barn Jam' at David's house. The album's cover image, photographed and designed by renowned artist Anton Corbijn, is inspired by lyrics written by Charlie Gilmour for the album's final song 'Scattered'.

Han har producerat musik åt och samarbetat med The Beatles, Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Tom Petty och Joe Walsh. 2015 hedrades Jeff Lynne med en stjärna på 'Hollywood Walk of Fame' och han är en aktiv välgörare i organisationer som St. Jude Research Hospital, MUSICARES och H.E.A.R.T (Helping Erase Abuse Related Trauma).

Maken till comeback var det längesen man såg. Albumet Across the Universe som släpptes 2015 blev en succe' världen över och framförallt i Storbritannien. Då ska inte prata om turnén som följde på detta. Det märktes att saknaden efter Jeff och ELO låtar varit enorm. Spelningarna förvandlades till ett enda långt karaoke party. Tyvärr nådde inte turnén Sverige denna gång, men vi håller tummarna för en spelning framöver. Tills dels för vi ge oss till tåls med detta album från den utsålda Wembley konserten i juni 2017.
