På bandets sjunde studioplatta tar de ett stort steg. De har skrivit bättre låtar, de har inte hyrt in någon producent som tar deras sound till ställen de själv inte vill, och de har med sig sin livetrummis, James Barone, vid inspelningen vilket innebär ett mer levande uttryck. De samarbeter en del med Sonic Boom angående ljudbilden - och resultatet är en skiva som kan vara det bästa de gjort. 13, the thirteenth album of White Denim's career, is an incandescent, groove- heavy alchemy of rock, funk, dub, soul and down-dirty blues - and plenty more besides - it's imbued with the same questing spirit that's been the band's trademark since first starting in Austin, Texas, some 20 years ago. Petralli's wide-ranging musical appetites have become more voracious over time. The sounds and textures of 13 are informed by everyone from Scritti Politti to The Gap Band, Terry Reid to King Tubby, Caetano Veloso to John Cale, Stevie Wonder to '80s- era Steve Winwood. Such diversity is reflected in multi- faceted gems like "(God Created) Lock And Key", "Only A Fool" and "That's Rap".

Kultbandet Mercury Rev är tillbaka med studioalbumet "Born Horses" som släpps via Bella Union. Albumet är bandets första på över 9 år och här blickas det bakåt till de inspirationskällor som de båda frontmännen Jonathan Donahue och "Grashopper" klickade över då då de möttes, fast med en futuristisk twist. Mercury Rev har hyllats av bl.a. The Guardian som kallat bandet<br/>"en raritet inom indierocken: ett band som ständigt har utvecklat sitt sound, tänjt på gränserna för vad rockmusik faktiskt innebär under 25 år..." och bandets debut från 1991, "Yerself Is Steam" hamnade på Pitchforks lista över de bästa shoegazealbumen genom tiderna.

After the success of their debut album Terrapath, which cemented their status as the stewards of the UK&#039;s prog-rock scene, Plantoid have returned with their sophomore release: the enigmatic, arresting, and at times downright catchy Flare.
