Röyksopp: The inevitable end 2014 [2 CD]

The War On Drugs med sitt fjärde studio album, A Deeper Understanding, vilket är det första albumet som släpps via Atlantic Records. Det är även bandets första platta sedan 2014's Lost In The Dream.<br/><br/>Sedan senaste albumet Lost In The Dream har The War On Drugs frontman Adam Granduciel suttit i studios i såväl Los Angeles och New York för att skriva, spela in, redigera - men framförallt för att sätta sig själv i hårt arbete. Han har samarbetat med Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Weezer) och tillsammans har dem utmanat vad det innebär att göra musik i dagens digitala och moderna landskap. Granduciel har även haft ett nära samarbete med sina bandmedlemmar; basisten Dave Hartley, keyboardisten Robbie Bennett, trummisen Charlie Hall, Anthony LaMarca och Jon Natchez under hela processen vilket resulterat i att albumet är en högst gemensam ansträngning i renaste form.

Muse is back with their seventh album "Drones".<br/><br/>Matt Bellamy said, "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behavior with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. Ulf Lundell har under hela sin snart 50-åriga skivkarriär använt bilder och symboler från midvinternatten i sina sånger. <br/><br/>Utan att någonsin göra ett traditionellt helg- eller vinteralbum har han radat upp låtar som landat eller färdats tillbaka till sådana ögonblick. Ibland ur glädje; julkort fyllda av värme och förväntningar. Andra gånger minnen fyllda av svärta. <br/><br/>På albumet "Rött guld" samlas en kollektion sådana sånger från åren 1978 till 2023. Till nio utvalda jul- och vintersånger adderas fyra nyinspelningar. <br/><br/>Ur fyra decennier sånger och berättelser från vintertid hämtas tidlösa svenska klassiker som "Snart kommer änglarna att landa" - här nyinspelad med 22 man stark stråkorkester - "Vinterland", "Låt det snöa", "Stockholm i december" och givetvis "Snön faller". <br/><br/>Den sistnämnda fyller 45 år, redan det ett motiv att samla dessa sånger under ett tak. <br/><br/>Men "Rött guld" innebär också en möjlighet att återupptäcka och även lyfta fram flera mer okända låtar. Låtar som "Dhaulagiri", om en skilsmässa runt jul, eller den målande berättelsen om de två ensamma männen i "Tanker", liksom "Hård vinter", det är bara några låtar som berättar om "den andra sidan av julen".<br/><br/>I oktober samlade Lundell sitt band i studion under två dagar för fyra nyinspelningar till den här samlingen: titellåten "Rött guld", "För brödfödans skull" och "God jul, hejdå". Samt den nya versionen av "Snart kommer änglarna att landa", en låt med ett budskap som just nu aktualiseras i princip varje dag.

The Doors were a few months away from stardom in March 1967 when they played five sparsely attended shows at a small club in San Francisco called The Matrix. These uninhibited performances would have been fleeting if not for Peter Abram, who co-owned the pizza parlor-turned-nightclub with Jefferson Airplane founder Marty Balin. An avid recordist, Abram taped concerts at The Matrix regularly and his recordings of The Doors, made between March 7-11, 1967, spawned one of the band's most storied bootlegs. At long last, all known Matrix recordings, sourced entirely from Abram's original master recordings, will be released on September 8.<br/><br/>Bootlegs of The Matrix shows have circulated among fans for years and were popular despite the poor audio quality of most copies. The sound began improving in 1997 when the first two songs from The Matrix shows were officially released on The Doors: Box Set. Even more performances followed in 2008 on Live at the Matrix 1967; regrettably, it was discovered soon after that all the recordings were sourced from third-generation tapes, not the originals. <br/><br/>Today, Abram's original recordings have been remastered by Bruce Botnick, The Doors' longtime engineer/mixer, for official release. The vinyl version of LIVE AT THE MATRIX 1967: THE ORIGINAL MASTERS includes all 37 songs from the shows sourced from the master tapes. Except for 15 songs released in 2017 and 2018 as Record Store Day exclusives, most of the newly upgraded live recordings are making their debut in the collection, including eight that have never been featured on any of the previous Matrix releases.

Script For A Jester's Tear was Marillion debut studio album originally released on 13 March 1983, reaching number seven in the UK Albums Chart (eventually achieving a platinum status) and produced the two Top 40 singles He Knows You Know (35) and Garden Party (16).<br/><br/>Formed in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, in 1979, the band went through several personnel changes before recording their debut album. Having attracted attention with a three-track session for the Friday Rock Show they were signed by EMI Records releasing their first single, Market Square Heroes, in October 1982 with their debut album Script For A Jester's Tear following a few months later after their second single He Knows You Know.<br/><br/>The CD version will have the same audio across 4CD plus a bonus Blu-Ray featuring "The Script Interviews" a wonderful documentary covering the formation of the band through to the release of Script For A Jester's Tear in their own words.
