This set collects together the five LPs that Tangerine Dream recorded for Virgin Records between 1974 and 1978.<br/>Includes albums:<br/>1) Phaedra (1974) - international breakthrough album (reaching No.15 in the UK charts).<br/><br/>2) Rubycon (1975) - Their well recieved second album, which utilized the then revolutionary technology, such as electronic organs, Moog synthesizers and Mellotron keyboards, among other instruments.<br/><br/>3) Ricochet (1975) - includes concert recordings from their 1975 European Tour, where they often improvised.<br/><br/>4) Stratosfear (1976) - Combining acoustic instruments with their traditional battery of electronica, the trio created a more melodic sound.<br/><br/>5) Cyclone (1978) - a major change of direction from their previous instrumental releases, as the group moved in a more progressive direction, marking not only the departure of Peter Baumann, but the addition of vocalist Steve Jolliffe and percussion from Klaus Krieger.<br/><br/>These five highly influential albums are augmented by rare single releases and 7" edits, as well as two rarely heard contemporary radio adverts.

Portishead var kanske den grupp som först och främst introducerade stilen trip-hop, där de tog element från Massive Attack och lade till cool jazz, acid house och filmmusik. Debutplattan "Dummy" från 1994 är en klassiker och på denna uppföljare följer de samma spår. Litet dunklare, men i princip lika bra. Detta är drömsk och långsamt suggestiv musik.
