In 'Deadpool' (2016) mercenary Wade Wilson (Reynolds) is diagnosed with terminal cancer and prepares himself for the worst until a mysterious man approaches him with the promise of an experimental treatment that will save him from dying and give him a new life. The resulting ordeal unlocks superhuman regenerative healing abilities in him and he becomes the antihero Deadpool, whereupon he embarks on a quest to exact revenge on the people who ruined his life. In 'Deadpool 2' (2018), after he loses his fiancée Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Deadpool is unable to find a way to end his life and so he reluctantly joins the X-Men. When he meets Russell Collins (Julian Dennison), a young mutant with incredible powers who is being abused by staff at the orphanage where he lives, Deadpool's violent response has dangerous consequences for them both. Meanwhile, Cable (Josh Brolin), a cybernetic soldier with the ability to time-travel, is hunting Russell and so Deadpool forms a team of mutants called X-Force to help him to protect the boy and thwart Cable's plans. Finally, in 'Deadpool & Wolverine' (2024), when Deadpool learns that Mr Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) from the Time Variance Authority is planning to destroy his universe, he embarks on a mission to find a Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) variant who can help him to save his world from annihilation. Rogers teams up with his best friend Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and leads his new unit in the fight against Schmidt but he proves to be a formidable foe. 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' (2014) is set two years after the events of 'The Avengers' (2012) and sees Rogers working for S.H.I.E.L.D. while he continues to try to adjust to modern society. When he discovers that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been infiltrated by Hydra, he joins forces with Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) and former soldier Sam Wilson to uncover the extent of the corruption and defeat a powerful Hydra assassin called the Winter Soldier (Stan). In 'Captain America: Civil War' (2016), following the events of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' (2015), the United Nations seek to oversee and control the activity of the Avengers, which causes a deep divide within the team of superheroes. The Avengers are split into two opposing factions headed by Captain America (Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), when a new threat to the safety of the world emerges. Will the Avengers be able to defeat their common enemy and repair the schism between them? Finally, in 'Captain America: Brave New World' (2025), Sam Wilson assumes the mantle of Captain America. When an attempt is made to assassinate President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford), Wilson uncovers evidence of a conspiracy to sow discord and division between America and Japan. In 'Captain Marvel' (2019), Vers (Larson) is a powerful Kree warrior, trained by Starforce and eager to fight in the ongoing war against her home planet's arch-enemy, the shape-shifting Skrulls. In pursuit of Skrull leader Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), Vers travels to Earth in the year 1995 and begins to be plagued by visions of her forgotten past as a pilot in the US Air Force. She teams up with future head of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to hunt down Talos, while continuing to search for answers about her true identity. In 'The Marvels' (2023), the destruction of the Supreme Intelligence led to a Kree civil war which caused the Kree home world, Hala, to lose its air, water and sunlight and become barren. Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton), the new Kree leader, seeks to restore Hala by utilising the power of a Quantum Band. When her use of this band causes Captain Marvel to become linked with Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), the three women begin switching places with each other and must team up to stop Dar-Benn and save the universe.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
