Ryûnosuke Kamiki stars in this Japanese sci-fi action thriller written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki. Koichi Shikishima (Kamiki) is a former kamikaze pilot who survived the war by aborting his suicide mission. When he is confronted with the might of Godzilla for the first time, he freezes, which compounds his feelings of guilt and cowardice.<br/><br/>As Japan struggles to recover from the devastation of the war, Koichi finds some measure of peace with Noriko (Minami Hamabe), who has rescued an orphaned baby girl.
