A follow up to their critically acclaimed 2023 release Close/Away, and debuting on April Records, the second album of Swedish quintet People In Orbit, Viewpoint, is all about perspectives. How can different perspectives shape our mindsets and our interpretation of our world? How can different perspectives and points of view either make us build a better society and human interaction and others create destruction and distance between us. Out of this came the suite Cycles in 4 parts, composed out of a graphic score. Every part symbolizes a specific human life and its perspective of its surrounding world. The two other songs are written from the perspective of whales swimming deep in the ocean and a leaf falling down, slowly twisting in the wind and making its way to the ground. Musically, Viewpoint continues People In Orbit's blend of modern jazz-rock and electronics, while drawing influence from the Scandinavian jazz quintet tradition of the 1960s.

The first release of a 1995 studio session, produced by Evan Parker. The Kenny Wheeler Sextet includes Ray Warleigh, Stan Sulzmann, John Parricelli, Chris Laurence and Tony Levin. Evan Parker instigated four recording sessions with Kenny Wheeler and members of this sextet between 1995 and 2003, with a compilation of Wheeler’s compositions from these sessions issued on Dream Sequence (2003); the only sextet track on Dream Sequence, "Kind Folk", was taken from the 1995 session which is presented in full here for the first time. What Was includes compositions by Wheeler, Ray Warleigh, Stan Sulzmann, Mike Pyne and Lee Konitz.
