En bättre musikalisk tidsmaskin till det svenska 60-talet än Swedish Pop & Beat 1963-1969 är nog inte lätt att finna... På denna samling medverkar totalt 40 av de mest betydelsefulla banden/artisterna inom svensk 60-talspop. <br/><br/>Sverige började under 60-talet visa att man var en musiknation att räkna med. De svenska artisterna turnerade inte bara hemmavid utan även internationellt (t.o.m. bort till Mexiko). Man lyckades etablera en hygglig spridning av sina skivor i nästan samtliga världsdelar!<br/>Artister som senare uppnådde ännu större berömmelse utvecklade under 60-talet sina musikaliska talanger, som exempelvis Björn Skifs, Tommy Körberg, Lasse Holm, Ola Håkansson, Janne Schaffer och samtliga ABBA-medlemmar (med sina separata karriärer). <br/><br/>Genom albumet Swedish Pop & Beat 1963-1969 får vi 40 gyllene exempel på hur det svenska popundret började ta form!

Swedish singer and songwriter Jesper Lindell is ready to release his third full length album, "Before The Sun". Just like its predecessor "Twilights" (2022), "Before The Sun" was recorded and mixed at Jesper's own studio Brunnsvik Sounds, located right outside Ludvika, Dalarna. The album was produced by Björn Pettersson and Jesper Lindell and besides his touring band, we get guest appearances by Brunnsvik Horns and American folk/country star in rising Kassi<br/>Valazza. <br/><br/>"Before The Sun" will be released by GG Records/Border on CD, LP and all<br/>digital platforms March 1, 2024.<br/><br/>The first single taken from the album is the opening track,"One Of These Rainy Days" (release November 3, 2023), A soulful statement, claiming a musical territory previously inhabited by greats like Van Morrison, Boz Scaggs and The Band. Now there's a new kid in town and his name is Jesper Lindell! <br/>Much has happened since the release of "Twilights" in March 2022. The album was very well received in Sweden and internationally, enabling Jesper and his band to tour the album for more than a year. And they did some serious touring for sure. Since the release they don 150+ gigs back home in Scandinavia and in France, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands and the UK. The heavy touring has allowed Jesper Lindell to grow even further as vocalist and stage personality. And the<br/>band has developed into a smooth machine, delivering on top level night after night.<br/>Despite the hectic schedule, Jesper Lindell also found time to record 5 songs for his solo project "Windows". The first volume was release in August 2023. God only knows when volume 2 will be recorded. Or to be more correct, only Jesper knows.<br/>In the history of music, there are some strange, almost mythical places. Muscle Shoals is actually a pretty gloomy small town in Alabama, but for music fans it's a Mecca, due to all the great music recorded there. Woodstock has its charm with its artist colony and chick boutiques, but it's because of all the groundbreaking music created there that music buffs talk about Woodstock as a holy place. Bakersfield was and is a farming town with some oil findings in California. Nothing much going on there except it was the birthplace of a brand new sub-genre of country music in the 60-ties. In the future we might add Brunnsvik to the list of mythical music locations? A place with a fertile ground for timeless music, with deep roots and viability. Just like the music Jesper Lindell and his band gives us on the new album "Before The Sun". Timeless, proud and beautiful music!
