The War Chief and his people are kidnapping warriors from throughout history and forcing them to compete in war games with the survivors becoming part of the War Chief's army. Along with Jamie (Frazer Hines) and Zoe (Wendy Padbury), the Doctor joins forces with the resistance to fight back but realises that he needs help from the Time Lords to return the kidnapped soldiers to their own timelines. However, if he contacts them, he risks being captured by them for his own crimes.
