In 'Rio 2' (2014), following their romantic escapades in the first film, Blu and Jewel are now happily married macaws with three children. Adventure lies in wait for the fledgling family when they leave Rio de Janeiro for the wilds of the Amazon to visit relatives. Not only does Jewel's estranged father Eduardo (Andy Garcia) intimidate Blu - who is already out of his comfort zone so far from the city - but Nigel (Jermaine Clement), his nemesis, returns with his heart set on revenge. To complicate matters further, Blu and Jewel learn that the fragile habitat of the Amazon faces a grave threat. When a young boy is devastated to find his dog is missing, he flies a plane to the island where he enlists the help of its inhabitants to track him down. As the dogs become frustrated with their new home, they formulate a plan to get off the island and back to the mainland. In a race against time, Mr. Fox and his family dig their way further underground in an attempt to escape. Trying to rekindle their sibling affections, Francis (Owen Wilson), Peter (Adrien Brody), and Jack (Jason Schwartzman) Whitman travel across India to meet up with their mother (Anjelica Huston), who has forsaken western life to become a nun in the Himalayas. Along the way, the hapless brothers fall victim to a range of mishaps, involving, among other things, pepper spray and an unhealthy fondness for pharmaceuticals, as their well-intentioned trip spirals out of control.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray</i>
