Unhappily for Mitsuko (Riisa Naka) her attempts to build a new life in California fail and see her return to her home country alone and in the latter stages of pregnancy. Unable to face her parents, she continues to try and convince them over the phone that things are going fine in America while striving to provide for herself and the baby she is carrying. In spite of her own problems, Mitsuko continues to care for others. Whether nursing a sickly landlady (Miyoko Inagawa) or encouraging her friend, Jiro (Ryo Ishibashi), to declare his feelings to a girl, Mitsuko retains her faith in life and hopes to be rewarded for her endeavours.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
