In 'Five Shaolin Masters' (1974), after Qing soldiers destroy the Shaolin temple, five survivors escape and swear vengeance. As they train hard to improve their skills before they must face their enemy again, they also seek to identify the traitor who betrayed them to the Qing forces. The prequel, 'Shaolin Temple' (1976), sees new students undergoing training in Shaolin methods while elsewhere, the Qing scheme to destroy them. As a traitor inside the temple begins working with the Qing, thousands of Qing forces arrive to massacre those inside the temple. In 'The Five Venoms' (1978), Yang Tieh (Chiang Sheng) is sent on a mission by his dying master to locate five of his former students and ascertain whether they are using their skills for good or evil. The Centipede (Lu Feng), The Snake (Wai Pak), The Scorpion (Sun Chien), The Lizard (Philip Kwok) and The Toad (Lo Mang) are each an expert in their own lethal combat style and Yang Tieh must decide who can be trusted to restore the reputation of their clan and who has betrayed its teachings. Finally, 'Crippled Avengers' (1978) sees Hu Ah-kue (Sun Chien), Chen Shuen (Philip Kwok), Wang Yi (Chiang Sheng) and Wei Jia-jie (Lo Mang) travel in search of Master Li Jing Ying (Ching Miao), hoping that he can train them so that they will be able to defeat the cruel and tyrannical Black Tiger Dao Tian-du (Chen Kuan-Tai) and his son Dao Chang (Lu Feng).<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray</i>

In 'Marco Polo' (1975) the eponymous explorer (Richard Harrison) finds himself embroiled in a fight between the Mongol Empire and Chinese rebels in the 13th century. When an assassination attempt on the Khan (Li Tung-Chun) fails, one of the assassins, Zu Jianmin (Carter Wong), escapes. The Khan sends his three personal bodyguards and Marco Polo after Zu Jianmin with orders to kill him, but the rebel has some powerful allies... 'The Pirate' (1973) follows 19th century pirate Cheung Po Tsai (Ti Lung) in his attempts to evade capture. Young general Hu Yi (David Chiang) is hunting pirates but when he finds Cheung Po Tsai, he realises that the pirate is aiding residents of a coastal village who are being exploited by the local authorities. As he comes to respect the man and they test their skills against each other, he must decide whether to capture him or let him go free. In 'Boxer Rebellion' (1976) a group of Chinese patriots join forces to fight back against encroachment from Western nations into their country. Shuai Feng-yun (Chi Kuan-Chun), Chen Chang (Leung Kar-yan) and Tseng Hsien-han (Alexander Fu Sheng) are keen to join the uprising but the consequences of the rebellion will be brutal. Finally in 'Four Riders' (1972) Feng Hsieh (Ti Lung) is framed for the murder of an American soldier. His friends Gao Yin-Han (Wang Chung) and Li Wei-Shi (Chen Kuan-Tai) know the truth and join forces with fellow soldier Jin Yi (David Chiang) to free him before he is executed. However, although they succeed in freeing Feng Hsieh, they then find themselves on the run. In 'Ode to Gallantry' (1982) Mongrel (Philip Kwok) comes into possession of the Black Iron Token, a tablet which grants the holder a favour from the powerful kung fu master Xie Yanke (Wong Lik). Unfortunately, when Mongrel is mistaken for the villainous leader of a martial arts gang, he finds himself drawn into a battle between warring clans. When the magistrate hires a band of mercenaries to kill them all, Lu Fang is joined in his fight by fellow warriors Yen Tzu-ching (Lo Lieh) and Huang Liang (Cheng Lui), but can they emerge victorious in the face of such overwhelming odds? The story concerns the activities of assassin Chang and his brother Hung, both small-time highwaymen. They befriend an ambitious soldier Ma, after attempting to rob him. The trio swear allegiance and gather about them a private army in the mountains, but the arrival of Hung's beautiful wife Mai unleashes hidden desires and Ma is forced to leave to join the Imperial Army. Years later, now a General, Ma summons his two brothers to join him in a war against the rebels. Their victories bring fame and fortune, but Ma is still besotted with Mai, and plots Hung's murder.
