Howard Langston har lovat sin lille son actionfiguren Turbo-Man i julklapp utan att veta om att det är julens mest efterfrågade leksak. Så börjar en hektisk jakt som försätter Howard i konflikt med en hyperstressad brevbärare, en snuskig, falsk jultomte och varenda stressad förälder i staden i den bästa julkomedin på länge.

Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) and Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music, The Fall of the Roman Empire , Waterloo, The Man Who Would Be King) star in this drama directed by Bharat Nalluri. Adapted from Les Standiford's novel of the same name, the film follows Charles Dickens (Stevens) as he attempts to get his career back on track with the release of his new book 'A Christmas Carol' in 1843. Having been rejected by his publishers following the failure of his previous work, Dickens sets about writing his new festive story in a hectic six-week period, combining real-life experiences with his vivid imagination to create a Christmas tale which could stand the test of time and become a family favourite for years to come.<br/><br/>The cast also includes Jonathan Pryce (Brazil Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones), Miriam Margolyes (Yentl, Little Shop of Horrors, Little Dorrit), Donald Sumpter (The Black Panther, Game of Thrones), and Morfydd Clark (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power).
