Hellacopters
The Hellacopters var ett svenskt rockband som bildades 1994.
När Hellacopters bildades var de väldigt inspirerade av det sena 1960- och 1970-talets protopunk/garagerock och framförallt av banden Kiss, The Stooges och MC5. Inte bara musikaliskt utan även nästan hela scenshowen kommer från dessa rockband. The Hellacopters sägs tillsammans med det norska bandet Gluecifer vara bandet som fört tillbaka garagerock'n'rollen/protopunken till Sverige. Gluecifer och The Hellacopters samarbetade mycket under de tidiga åren och har givit ut två splittalbum tillsammans.
Den 13 oktober 2007 meddelades via ett pressmeddelande på bandets webbplats att de skulle splittras. De ville först släppa sitt sista studioalbum och göra en sista turné i Europa och Skandinavien. Bandets fyra sista spelningar kommer att ske på Debaser i Stockholm den 25 och 26 oktober 2008, men också sändas live från deras MySpace-sida.
