Våren 2023 släppte Depeche Mode sitt 15:e studioalbum - Memento Mori. Det var det första albumet sedan originalmedlemmen Andy Fletcher hastigt avled våren 2022. Martin Gore och Dave Gahan fortsatte som en duo. I samband med albumreleasen så inleddes en världsturné som bland annat gästade Stockholm i maj, Köpenhamn i juni samt Helsingfors och Oslo i augusti 2023. I november 2016 släppte Depeche Mode en fyra timmar lång DVD innehållande bandets alla banbrytande musikvideor. En uppskattad nostalgitripp som påminner om Depeche Modes storhet.

The album's 12 tracks chart a wide variety of moods and textures from the ominous opening to the closing denouement, running the gamut from paranoia and obsession to catharsis and joy, and countless points in between.
